You write books? What are they about?

I write young adult (YA) thrillers featuring explicitly LGBTQ+ characters and themes. Instead of being sidelined, the sapphic teenage heroines in my novels are front-and-center in their own stories. And while they may be messy, prone to making mistakes, and are typically dealing with their own debilitating emotions, they usually triumph in the end—showing that there’s hope among all the grief, terror, and anxiety that plagues our modern world.

HOW TO FIND A MISSING GIRL is a YA thriller about a seventeen-year-old amateur sleuth named Iris and her sapphic detective agency, and what happens when they all decide to investigate the disappearance of Iris's ex-girlfriend—who is locally notorious for creating a polarizing true-crime podcast about Iris's missing sister. It’s set in the marshes of southern Louisiana, and it released in September 2023 with Little, Brown Books for Young Readers.

SIX MUST DIE is a YA thriller about an eighteen-year-old escape room enthusiast named Steffi and her ex-friend-group, who became estranged after her best friend died in a mysterious escape room fire a year ago. Determined to get answers about his death one year later, Steffi accepts a cryptic invitation luring her back to the franchise that killed him…but when the players start dying one by one, it’s a race against the clock to puzzle out what’s happening before it’s too late. It’s set in the mountains of east Tennessee, and it releases in March 2026 with Little, Brown Books for Young Readers.
